Infant Development Consultant (18 month contract)

 

Provides a variety of home-based assessment, planning and implementation
services to infants and toddlers with, or at risk of, developmental delay and/or disability and to their families to optimize their development and continuing participation in a full range of community activities.


 140 hrs/ calendar month

$26.00-$28.00 per hour experience dependant


Key Duties: 


1. Interviews families, assesses problems and outlines services provided by the
organization. Refers clients to more appropriate programs if required.
2. Assists families in determining goals for their child and the means of
attaining them. Plans, develops and implements support plans to meet these
ends. Provides parenting skills training. Guides parents in activities specific to
the needs of the infant.
3. Evaluates, in conjunction with the family, the effectiveness of programs and
clients’ progress. Resolves identified problems and moves towards defined
objectives. Assesses the results of the program(s) and makes adjustments to
programs.
4. Inform families of alternatives open to their child as he/she grows older and
encourage the family to take part in any decision-making process regarding
his/her education or health services.
5. Records home visits and ensures that parents and professionals involved with
the family are updated regarding the child's progress.
6. Maintains accurate reports and records on clients. Participates in case planning with therapists and social workers.
7. Refers clients to other resources such as parent groups, therapists and
community groups.
8. Provides up-to-date resource materials and lists of generic services related to
developmentally delayed children.
9. Provides liaison with other resources and professionals with regard to
coordinating services to clients and in supporting transition to other services.
11. Continues professional development by reading, course work, sharing
information with other professionals.
13. Attends and participates in staff meetings and clinical team meetings 

Qualifications:

Minimum qualification requirements: 

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or a related field 

- One year of experience working with infants and young children and their
families

Overnight Shelter Worker (Casual)

 Shift Length: 12-hour overnight shifts Wage: $31.00 per hour Position Summary Princeton Family Services Society is inviting expressions of interest from qualified and compassionate individuals for On-Call Overnight Shelter Worker positions. This role provides overnight support, safety, and supervision for shelter residents and contributes to a respectful, trauma-informed environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, on-call work with extended overnight shifts.
